Forbidden acts for those in Janabat

 

361. The following five things are Haraam for Junub:

  • To touch with any part of one's body the script of the holy Qur'an or the Name of Almighty Allah and other Names and specific attributes of Allah. And as per precautionary measures, to touch with any part of one's body, the names

 

of the holy Prophet and Imams and Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon them), as mentioned in Wudhu earlier.

  • Entering Masjid Al-Haraam or Masjid Al- Nabi, even though it may be only entering from one gate and going out of another.
  • To stay or halt in all other Masjids, and similarly, however, it is permissible if one enters from one door and exits from another, or enters the Masjid to pick up something. And as per obligatory precaution, one should not enter the shrines of the holy Imam, even with the intention of entering from one gate and exiting from another.
  • To enter a Masjid with an intention of placing something in it, as per precautionary measures one should not place anything even from outside.
  • To recite those verses of the holy Qur'an on the recitation of which performance of Sajdah becomes obligatory. These verses occur in four chapters (Surah) of the holy Qur'an:
  • Chapter Thirty-two Alif Laam Mim Tanzil, 32:15
  • Chapter Forty-one Ha Mim Sajdah, 41:38
  • Chapter Fifty-three An-Najm, 53:62
  • Chapter Ninety-six Al 'Alaq, 96:19,

And it is Haraam to even read a single word of these verses and as per recommended precaution; one should not recite other verses of these four chapters.
